The Crown Hotel is situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley, right on the riverbank, at the foot of Pen-y-ghent and is one of few hotels in the Yorkshire Dales National Park which actually stand on The Pennine Way.

On The Pennine Way, just a few miles from where the A65 passes through Settle, and only a four-minute walk from Horton-in-Ribblesdale railway station on the Leeds, Settle to Carlisle railway line, The Crown Inn Hotel is easy to reach on foot, by bike, car and train. (The river Ribble is a little too shallow and wild here:)

In spring, summer and autumn The Crown comes alive, as many travellers visit us for drinks, food and shelter. There is a large attractive beer garden with a stunning view of Pen-y-ghent at the rear. This rural hotel accommodation is popular with those attempting the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. (all 3 within 12 hours) During the winter months the bar is particularly cosy, as our log fire gives off a warm welcoming glow.
The limited number of rooms in Horton-in-Ribblesdale are in demand most weekends, and we advise you to book well in advance. Our regular guests tend to book their next visit upon departure. One of our ground floor bedrooms has been adapted for disabled guests and has full disabled access / wheelchair access.
The Crown Inn’s lounge bar has award-winning cask ales such as Black Sheep, Old Peculier and guest beers. We also have been awarded the important Cask-Marque.
